Information We Collect

When you apply to join our network, we collect:
• Profile Information: Your name, email address, country of residence, desired hourly rate, and links to your professional profiles such as LinkedIn or GitHub.
• CV / Resume Data: The CV or resume you upload, including your work history, skills, education, and project experience. We use this to tailor your interview and evaluate your fit for the network.
• Interview Recordings and Evaluation Data: If you complete our AI-conducted application interview, we collect audio recordings of your responses, video recordings of the interview session, transcripts generated from your responses, and a structured written evaluation produced from your interview. This data is collected only with your explicit consent, which you provide before the interview begins.
• Technical Data: Limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:
• Conduct your application interview and tailor its questions to your background.
• Evaluate your suitability for the Remgu talent network.
• Match you with potential engagements with our client companies.
• Communicate with you about your application and potential opportunities.
• Operate, secure, and improve our application process.
• Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your application data to train AI models without first removing information that identifies you. We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to recruitment and placement.

Non-Discrimination

Remgu evaluates all applicants based on professional qualifications and fit for our network. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Human Review of Decisions

Your application interview is conducted by an AI system, but decisions about your membership in the Remgu network are not made by AI alone. A member of the Remgu team reviews each interview and makes the final decision. You have the right to request human-only review of any evaluation by contacting us at contact@remgu.com.

Legal Basis for Processing (for applicants in the EU/EEA and UK)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
• Consent: For collecting and processing your audio and video recordings and related biometric data, we rely on your explicit consent, which you provide before the interview begins. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests and performance of a contract: For processing your profile and CV data to evaluate your application and match you to engagements.

How We Share Your Information

• With Client Companies: If you are accepted into our network and matched to an opportunity, we share relevant profile information and evaluation summaries with the specific client company considering you for an engagement. We share only what is necessary for that purpose.
• With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to operate our service. Our current sub-processors include Google Cloud (hosting and storage), Google Gemini (AI processing), and our transactional email provider. These providers access your data only as needed to deliver their services to us and are contractually required to protect it. An updated list of our sub-processors is available on request at contact@remgu.com.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls limiting who can view it.
We retain audio and video recordings only as long as needed to evaluate your interview, typically no more than thirty (30) days after the human review is complete.
We retain transcripts, evaluations, and application data for up to 24 months, unless you request earlier deletion or unless a longer period is required by law.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, including your interview recordings, at any time.
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent for processing your interview recordings at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
• Objection and restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@remgu.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International Data Transfers

Remgu is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data of individuals in the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. By applying, you understand your data will be processed in these locations.

Applicants Outside the EU

If you are located in Latin America or other regions, we process your data in accordance with this notice and applicable local data protection laws. The rights described above are available to all applicants.

Children

Our service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Applicant Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our application process after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
